I’ll let Michael speak for himself, but I think that there are moral particularists. Nonetheless, some people who sound like particularists really are not but have despaired of figuring out what the correct general moral principles are.

Sadly, the kind of lack in analysis that leads to particularist-sounding statements probably leads the same speak to pronounce absolutists or universalist statements in the next breath. This gives philosophers endless teaching opportunities. But who listens to philosophers these days, besides other philosophers?</description>
